Santa Barbara, CA (May 19, 2026) – A hit-and-run collision involving injuries occurred Monday night, May 18, on southbound U.S. 101 just north of Hot Springs Road in Santa Barbara. The crash was first reported around 9:15 p.m. , and an unknown lane was blocked when the first call came in. Several emergency teams arrived at the scene. All lanes were reported open again by around 10:17 p.m. The vehicle that caused the collision then fled the scene. Information regarding the number of individuals injured and the extent of their injuries remains unconfirmed. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and further information will be provided as it emerges. Our thoughts are with those who were injured and are now receiving treatment.
