San Leandro, CA (September 27, 2025) – A pedestrian lost their life Friday morning after being hit in a collision at the junction of Fairmont Dr and Foothill Blvd in San Leandro. The incident was reported around 10:04 a.m. prompting a quick reaction from nearby law enforcement and medical emergency teams. Even with prompt medical assistance, the pedestrian did not survive their injuries at the location of the incident. Officials have yet to disclose the victim’s identity or specifics about the vehicle that was part of the incident. The driver stayed at the scene and is assisting investigators while the San Leandro Police Department looks into the events that led to the crash. Traffic was affected in the vicinity as authorities recorded details of the incident and attempted to piece together the timeline.
