San Jose, CA (October 22, 2025) – A woman in her mid-40s sustained injuries Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle in San Jose, according to reports from San Jose Fire.
The incident occurred around 8:11 a.m. on October 21 near the intersection of Alum Rock Ave and King Rd. Emergency responders were dispatched under a Delta-level alert, signaling a high-priority injury situation.
Upon arrival, medics found the cyclist suffering from pain in her hip and a leg injury consistent with the vehicle impact. Although police were notified and were expected at the scene, there were initial delays in unit arrival.
After being assessed by paramedics, the woman declined further treatment and transport, choosing to leave the scene against medical advice. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision. No details about the driver or vehicle involved have been released.
We hope the injured cyclist recovers quickly and encourage any witnesses to assist investigators by providing additional information.
