San Francisco, CA (September 22, 2025) – A multi-car crash on eastbound Interstate 80 close to the Treasure Island off-ramp resulted in injuries to multiple people on Sunday morning. The accident happened at approximately 8:15 in the morning. This resulted in considerable delays in the region as emergency teams arrived. As reported by San Francisco City Fire and EMS, Engine 3 and AMR 102 were sent to the location to help with the injuries incurred from the accident. Teams arriving on the eastbound side close to Treasure Island reported a collision involving several vehicles that necessitated organized medical assistance and traffic management. Emergency responders, such as paramedics, evaluated numerous individuals and delivered medical care at the scene. At least one vehicle needed additional attention before the area could be made clear. The specific number of injured individuals and the seriousness of their injuries have not been disclosed. The accident resulted in significant traffic delays heading east during the busy morning commute, causing backups on the approaches to the Bay Bridge. Officials took action to handle lane closures and put measures in place to quickly return to safe travel conditions. An inquiry into the reason behind the accident is currently in progress.
