On November 17, 2025, in San Francisco, CA, a semi-truck collision occurred on the eastbound Interstate 80 close to the Bryant Street onramp. The mishap transpired at approximately 4:49 a.m., resulting in one individual sustaining injuries and considerable traffic disruptions, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. when a red semi-truck, said to be a car carrier, crashed into the right side wall of the freeway. The accident obstructed several lanes, including lanes 4 and 5, and leaked oil and fuel from the damaged tank of the truck. Rainfall led to the spread of the spill down the bridge slope, resulting in a hazardous materials response and cleanup by Caltrans. Firefighters and emergency medical teams arrived at the location. One individual was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to Engine 8 personnel. A SigAlert was issued, and the Sterling Street on-ramp to eastbound I-80 was closed while authorities handled the cleanup and looked into the cause of the accident. Two tow services, including a heavy-duty rotator, were sent to take away the disabled vehicle. The inquiry is still in progress.
