San Diego, CA (January 31, 2026) – A collision involving two vehicles late Friday morning caused injuries and trapped at least one individual in a car near Genoa St and Polroy Rd in San Diego. The crash took place at about 11:48 a.m. According to California Highway Patrol Border Division dispatch audio, the crash occurred on January 30 and involved a YPFW SUV and a cream-colored GMC SUV. Emergency responders arrived promptly and were told that an elderly person was trapped in one of the vehicles due to a stuck door, needing help to get out. Medical teams were sent to treat the injured individuals. The precise number of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries have not been disclosed. First responders stayed on site to assist the victims, control local traffic, and probe the collision’s cause.
