San Diego, CA (October 10, 2025) – On Thursday evening, a collision resulting in injuries caused traffic delays on the southbound side of Interstate 5 near Gilman Drive in San Diego. The accident was noted at approximately 6:48 PM. which elicited a response from multiple local fire and EMS units. Engine 35 and Engine 52 were sent to the location to help those affected. When they arrived, the teams attended to at least one person who was injured. The severity of the injuries has yet to be verified, and it is still uncertain how many cars were part of the accident. The event took place close to the Gilman Dr on-ramp and off-ramp, causing disruptions in traffic as emergency personnel worked to manage the situation and remove debris. Authorities are examining the factors that contributed to the accident. We send our best wishes to those who were hurt and wish them a quick and complete recovery.
