San Diego, CA (January 28, 2026) – Paramedics assessed a 39-year-old pregnant woman after a minor rear-end crash near West Arbor Dr in San Diego on Monday afternoon. The incident happened as she was a rear-seat passenger in a small sedan stopped at a traffic light. A second sedan, moving at about 15 mph, collided with the vehicle from the rear. While there was no notable damage to the vehicle and the airbags did not deploy, the woman subsequently experienced an unusual warm feeling in her lower back following the collision. Emergency responders from Mercy Medic 83 arrived at the scene and evaluated her; she is presently 16 weeks pregnant with her fourth child. She reported no direct pain, loss of consciousness, or trauma to the head, neck, or spine, but voiced concern over the new sensation. Her vital signs remained stable, and she had been cleared at a routine prenatal checkup earlier that day. The patient was taken to a nearby medical center for precautionary assessment.
