How School Bus Crashes Are Reviewed After Morning Route Collisions. Crashes involving school buses on morning routes can cause traffic disruptions and heighten safety worries for families. These accidents frequently happen during busy arrival periods, when roads around campuses are packed with buses, parents, and carpools. Following a crash, those on board are usually examined for injuries right there at the scene. Even if injuries seem minor, students could still undergo evaluation as a precaution because of the size and weight of school buses. Traffic alerts are frequent as roadways are cleared and investigators examine the incident.
