San Diego, CA (December 22, 2025) – Emergency dispatch reports indicate a 20-year-old man on an electric bicycle was hurt in a crash with a vehicle near West Arbor Drive in San Diego on Saturday afternoon. The collision happened around 2:43 p.m. Op 20 december. UC San Diego emergency teams sent first responders to the site after reports of a collision between an e-bike and a vehicle. Even though the collision occurred at low speed, the rider suffered trauma injuries that necessitated hospital treatment. Paramedics stabilized the rider, who remained responsive and securely restrained en route. He was transported to UCSD Medical Center under a trauma designation for additional evaluation and care. Information about the crash’s cause or the driver’s condition has not been disclosed yet. The crash is still being investigated. We wish the injured rider a complete recovery and praise the medical teams for their quick response.
