San Diego, CA (January 19, 2026) – One driver was injured in a traffic crash near Zion Ave on Sunday night when their vehicle was hit on the driver’s side, based on emergency dispatch audio. The incident took place around 9:47 p.m. in the vicinity of San Diego. According to reports, the driver was wearing a seatbelt during the crash and managed to get out of the vehicle on their own. The patient showed no signs of loss of consciousness. Medics from Chula Vista Medic 57 arrived at the scene and transported the individual to Kaiser Zion for evaluation. The driver was said to be suffering from right wrist pain. No information has been disclosed regarding the other vehicle involved or the reason for the accident. Officials continue to investigate the incident and identify any contributing factors. We wish the injured driver a full and speedy recovery.
