San Diego, CA (October 10, 2025) – Reports from emergency dispatch indicate that a car accident occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Inverness Ct and Dunaway Dr in San Diego, leading to at least one person injured and potentially someone trapped. The accident took place at approximately 1:38 p.m. Engine 9 and additional units were dispatched in response. Firefighters reached the location a short time after the alarm was sounded and started evaluating the circumstances. At least one person is said to have sustained injuries, but information regarding their status has not been disclosed. It is still uncertain if extraction was required. The reason for the accident is presently being investigated. Traffic in the vicinity was temporarily affected while emergency responders secured the location and provided assistance.
