On November 11, 2025, in San Bernardino, CA, San Bernardino Fire and Rescue promptly responded to a traffic accident that caused injuries close to Curtis Middle School on North Del Rosa Drive. The event took place on the morning of November 9, just after 9:00 a.m. Between East 9th Street and Paloma Road, multiple vehicles collided, resulting in various injuries to several individuals. Emergency medical services and firefighting crews rushed to the scene in response to the incident. Emergency personnel from Squad 226 and Medic Engine 226 swiftly administered medical assistance at the scene, focusing on stabilizing the injured victims of the crash. One person needed ongoing medical attention, but officials have not disclosed how many victims there are or how serious their injuries might be. Early reports indicate that the accident involved several vehicles and happened near school grounds, prompting immediate safety worries because of the nearby students and foot traffic. Officials temporarily closed off the surrounding area to allow for emergency access and to protect the safety of school staff and students. Currently, law enforcement is investigating the reason behind the accident. Information regarding the factors that contributed, including speed, distraction, or adherence to traffic signals, has not been made public yet.
