On the evening of October 1, 2025, a neck injury was reported after a car accident at the intersection of East Laurel Dr and Linwood Dr in Salinas. Local fire and medical teams were dispatched to the scene around 8:21 p.m. on the 30th of September. As per the dispatch from Monterey County Fire and EMS, emergency personnel were dispatched to the location with Code 3 urgency, signaling the necessity for prompt medical assistance. When they arrived, first responders assisted a person who was allegedly experiencing neck pain due to the accident. Authorities have not yet revealed specific information about the collision, such as the number of vehicles involved or the events that led to the incident. East Laurel Dr, a heavily used road in North Salinas, has previously experienced issues linked to traffic jams and poor visibility at night. The incident is still being investigated.
