The driver reportedly fled the scene following the incident. No details have been released about the identities of the driver or the pedestrian. Authorities continue to investigate the incident. How Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crashes Are Typically Investigated. Investigators begin by securing the accident scene and searching for witnesses or nearby security cameras when a pedestrian is hit in a hit-and-run. Physical evidence like vehicle fragments, tire skids, and collision points helps establish the direction and speed of the vehicles involved. Investigators also assess the road layout and lighting conditions to evaluate visibility at the time of the crash.
