Sacramento, CA (October 29, 2025) – A young person on a scooter suffered minor injuries Wednesday morning after colliding with a vehicle at the intersection of Will Rogers Dr and Papaya Dr in North Sacramento, as stated by the California Highway Patrol. The accident was reported shortly before 9:00 a.m. and first classified as a potential serious injury accident. After a more detailed evaluation, the authorities downgraded it to a less severe collision involving an injury. The records from the CHP dispatch showed that the young person was hit by a gray Kia Sorento. The youngster was observed to be conscious and upright following the collision, despite incurring abrasions on their knees and palms. A scooter was discovered beneath a vehicle, leading to emergency responders being alerted. A witness mentioned that a Subaru was parked close by with its door open, which might have led the child to move into the path of an approaching vehicle. Fire personnel were sent to the location, and medics assessed the child for any injuries. There were no additional injuries reported, and no citations have been issued at this moment. Our thoughts are with the young rider, and we hope for their speedy and complete recovery.
