Sacramento, CA (January 6, 2026) – A scooter rider suffered injuries in a crash involving a vehicle on Monday morning near Standish Road in Sacramento, leading to a call for medical help. The incident occurred around 9:19 a.m. On the 5th of January. Dispatch audio indicates that deputies arrived at the scene following reports of a crash between a vehicle and a scooter rider. The crash allegedly happened 20 to 25 minutes before the call, with the driver having already swapped details with the scooter rider and departed the scene. The scooter operator was said to be limping and requiring medical care. Although the injuries were not considered life-threatening, emergency medical services were called to evaluate the person’s condition. Officials pointed out that, per existing response protocols, reports of delayed pain without serious trauma or urgent risk might not require a complete police presence, but medical teams were anticipated to provide aid. We hope the injured scooter rider recovers fully and quickly from this event.
