Sacramento, CA (January 29, 2026) – Emergency services in the Sacramento area responded Wednesday morning to a pedestrian who suffered an apparent leg injury on the shoulder of westbound US-50 near 16th Street. The incident was reported around 6:51 a.m. On 28 January. Dispatch audio described the pedestrian as wearing a black jacket, crouched on the right-hand shoulder of the highway, clutching his thigh in evident pain. Emergency responders arrived to aid the injured person, while traffic personnel cleared the road safely. It’s unclear how the man was injured, although the dispatch recording confirmed no contact with a vehicle. Officials have not provided more details on the pedestrian’s condition or whether any other parties were involved. The ramp was cleared soon after, with no prolonged traffic disruptions reported. Local officials continue to investigate the incident. We wish the injured pedestrian a speedy recovery with the necessary medical attention.
