Roseville, CA (May 11, 2026) – Authorities say a two-vehicle crash on Baseline Road in west Roseville Sunday night killed a local man. The Placer County Coroner identified the victim as 47-year-old George Habeeb of Roseville. The accident happened at approximately 9:06 p.m. at the corner of Baseline Road and Canyon Creek Drive. According to investigators, Habeeb was driving a white van and turning from Canyon Creek Drive onto Baseline Road when it was struck by a westbound BMW in the intersection. Habeeb was declared dead at the scene. The BMW driver was taken to the hospital with injuries. Police confirmed the BMW driver had not been drinking. The Roseville Police Department’s major accident investigation team is heading the probe, which is standard procedure for fatal crashes. Baseline Road remained shut for several hours before reopening. We offer our deepest condolences to Mr. Habeeb’s family at this difficult time and wish the injured BMW driver a complete and speedy recovery.
