When a deadly collision between two vehicles happens at an intersection, investigators usually examine the Right-of-Way and Turning Law. This law mandates that drivers turning left or entering intersections must give way to oncoming traffic that presents an immediate danger. Identifying who had the legal right-of-way is an important aspect of the investigation. If either driver disregarded a signal or entered the intersection in an unsafe manner, the Traffic Control Signal Law could be relevant.
