Riverside, CA (December 19, 2025) – The California Highway Patrol reports that a motorcycle collided with a semi-truck on eastbound State Route 60 late Tuesday morning, resulting in major injuries to one rider. The incident took place around 10:57 AM on December 18, just west of Rubidoux Boulevard. According to CHP officials, the motorcyclist was discovered lying in the No. 4 lane but was conscious and responsive at the scene. Paramedics took the rider to Riverside Community Hospital with injuries described as potentially major. The identity and current status of the injured person have not been disclosed. The crash, occurring in the rightmost lanes amid reportedly heavy traffic, led to significant traffic backups. All eastbound lanes were first stopped as emergency teams responded, but the HOV and No. 1 lanes soon reopened. The No. 3 lane stayed closed for a prolonged time while cleanup and towing were finalized. Firefighters, CHP officers, and paramedics collaborated on-site to aid the injured motorcyclist, direct traffic, and clear the damaged vehicles and debris from the road. No arrests or further injuries have been reported. The CHP is still examining the precise details surrounding the crash. Our thoughts are with the injured rider, and we wish them a speedy and complete recovery.
