Riverside, CA (January 24, 2026) – A crash with injuries occurred Friday morning at the Canyon Crest Dr and Elgin Dr intersection in Riverside. The event took place at approximately 10:30 a.m. On January 23, the incident involved at least one person who needed medical treatment for visible injuries. Crews from the Riverside Fire Department and American Medical Response (AMR) arrived at the scene and assisted an individual who suffered a facial laceration. The injured individual was treated at the scene prior to transfer to a local hospital for additional assessment. It has not been confirmed whether there were additional injuries. The crash occurred in a residential part of the Canyon Crest neighborhood, resulting in brief traffic delays as emergency responders aided the victim and cleared the road. Officials have not yet disclosed the cause of the collision, but they are investigating to identify the contributing factors.
