Rio Linda, CA (April 28, 2026) – An ATV rider died following a crash with a pickup truck at the intersection of 16th Street and Elverta Road near Rio Linda. The incident was reported at approximately 8:19 p.m. on April 26, a Saturday. Emergency responders arrived at the scene following reports of a crash between an all-terrain quad vehicle and a pickup truck. Officials reported that the truck hit the ATV from behind, ejecting the rider from the vehicle. The driver of the ATV was declared dead on site. Authorities have not disclosed the victim’s identity. The pickup truck driver stayed at the scene after the accident. No further information about the driver has been released. Officials are still probing the reason for the accident, with additional updates to follow as they emerge. We extend our sympathies to the victim’s family and friends.
