Richvale, CA (December 19, 2025) – A Willows woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 162 near County Road ZZ in the Richvale area, per a California Highway Patrol report. The collision happened around 7:51 a.m. on December 18, as 39-year-old Cassandra Amore drove eastbound in a 2007 Honda. Amore’s vehicle reportedly veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons still being investigated, resulting in a head-on collision with a westbound 2019 RAM pickup truck. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and evaluated both drivers. Amore sustained minor injuries and was taken to Enloe Health for treatment. No further injuries were reported at the time. The crash led to brief traffic delays on Highway 162 while officials removed the debris and began a preliminary investigation. Both vehicles suffered substantial damage in the collision. CHP is still investigating the factors behind the lane departure. No citations or arrests have been announced. We wish Cassandra Amore a full recovery after this collision in Richvale.
