Redondo Beach, CA (December 16, 2025) – A vehicle collision late Monday afternoon caused reported injuries in the 2700 block of Nelson Avenue, leading emergency responders to swiftly attend the residential area in Redondo Beach. The incident took place around 4:29 p.m. , which includes at least one passenger vehicle. People in the neighborhood said they heard the crash and saw emergency vehicles pull up soon afterward. Medical staff treated the injured on-site, with at least one person taken to a nearby hospital for further assessment. The area near 2706 Nelson Ave was briefly closed off while crews aided those affected and removed debris from the road. The crash led to traffic backups and raised worries among residents in the usually peaceful neighborhood. Redondo Beach Police have launched an investigation to pinpoint the cause, potentially including excessive speed, driver distraction, or mishandling of local road conditions.
