Redlands, CA (May 11, 2026) – A 76-year-old man lost his life in a house fire in Redlands on Sunday, May 10. The blaze was reported at approximately 5:30 p.m. In the 100 block of Wabash Avenue, emergency crews responded to the residence after reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, crews discovered the man in the driveway as the rear of the house was engulfed in flames. He was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries; his identity had not yet been released. Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, extinguishing it within approximately 20 minutes. No additional injuries have been reported. The origin of the blaze is still being investigated.
