Rancho Cucamonga, CA (September 6, 2025) – Late Tuesday night, a fatal multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 in Rancho Cucamonga, featuring a semi-truck, resulted in the death of a 28-year-old woman. The accident took place around 10:12 PM. According to local authorities, at the Foothill Blvd interchange, emergency responders found a silver sedan stuck under the back of a semi-trailer when they arrived at the scene. Sadly, the driver of the sedan, Karina L. Abarca from Garden Grove, was declared dead at the scene. Authorities stated that two other cars were part of the accident, but so far, there have been no other reported injuries or deaths. The exact order of events that resulted in the deadly crash is still being examined. Emergency responders from Rancho Cucamonga Fire and Rescue, as well as the California Highway Patrol, stayed at the location for several hours. Traffic experienced significant disruptions as officials carried out an investigation at the scene and removed the vehicles involved. Additional information regarding the reasons behind the accident has not been disclosed. Authorities are looking into whether aspects like speed, visibility, mechanical issues, or human mistakes played a role in the accident.
