CHP did not provide details about the vehicles involved or describe how the collision occurred. The initial dispatch classified the incident as a traffic collision with injuries not yet determined.
About two minutes later, at approximately 1:08 a.m., dispatch noted that a possible tow response was en route. The update did not identify the towing provider or indicate whether either vehicle required recovery.
