A hit-and-run incident with no reported injuries occurred on southbound State Route 99 near Central Avenue and Maple Avenue in California on Aug. 20, 2026. The incident was reported at about 3:28 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.
The location was described as southbound State Route 99 near Central Avenue. The dispatch record classified the incident as a hit-and-run in which no injuries were reported.
In a later update at about 3:37 p.m., CHP noted that the vehicle involved may have been the same vehicle referenced in another incident log. A vehicle identification lookup indicated that the possible vehicle was a Ford Edge.
The dispatch information did not identify a driver or provide additional details about the other vehicle involved. No further information about the circumstances of the hit-and-run was included in the CHP updates.
