Pittsburg, CA (January 31, 2026) – Contra Costa County Fire Protection District emergency responders were sent Friday evening to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 4 near the Harbor Street exit, which injured one person. The crash took place around 6:16 p.m. on 30 January. The California Highway Patrol reports that two vehicles were involved, although the exact circumstances causing the crash remain undetermined. The collision’s impact led to delays in the westbound lanes of Highway 4 during the evening rush hour. First responders, including paramedics, offered immediate treatment to one injured person at the scene. The individual was taken to a local hospital for additional medical care. The nature and severity of the injuries have not been revealed. CHP officers cleared the scene and collected initial details to support their continuing investigation. No further information has been disclosed about the vehicles involved or any contributing factors at this time.
