A traffic collision with unknown injuries was reported Aug. 19, 2026, on southbound U.S. 101 just north of Los Lobos in the King City area. The incident was reported at approximately 3:56 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol classified the crash as a collision involving an unknown injury status. Dispatch information identified the location as the southbound side of the highway near Los Lobos.
A subsequent CHP update reported that a person associated with another vehicle ran toward the reporting party’s truck. The dispatch information did not provide additional details about the person’s actions or whether anyone was injured.
The available CHP records contain no further documented information about vehicle damage, lane closures, medical response or towing. The incident remained under CHP handling in the King City area based on the provided dispatch update.
