(Long Beach, CA) A man was fatally struck by a vehicle near Maine Avenue on West Willow Street on Tuesday night, December 23, leading to his death. Officers arrived on scene around 10:35 p.m. and discovered the pedestrian seriously hurt. Emergency responders took him to a hospital, where he died later. Investigators report that the man was crossing northbound on Willow Street when he was struck by a westbound 2023 Toyota RAV4. The driver remained at the scene and exhibited no indications of being intoxicated. Police have yet to ascertain if the victim was in an unmarked crosswalk.
