(Palm Springs, CA) On Sunday morning, December 14, a pedestrian died in a crash on State Route 111 between Tipton Road and Snow Creek Road. Officers arrived at the scene around 10:40 a.m. following a bicyclist’s report of spotting someone down by the roadside. Upon arrival, the officers verified that the person was dead. The victim’s identity is being withheld until the family is notified. Investigators believe a vehicle hit the pedestrian and fled the scene prior to police arrival. According to authorities, the suspect vehicle could be white and may have front-end or front passenger-side damage, possibly including a damaged headlight.
