A fatal accident occurred on December 2 in south Phoenix, around 6 a.m., when a man was hit by a vehicle on 32nd Street. The incident resulted in the man’s death, as reported by the Phoenix Police Department. close to 32nd Street and Broadway Road. Authorities reported that a white SUV was moving along Broadway. Suddenly, a man who was walking across the street outside of a designated crosswalk was hit. Shortly after, a car traveling close by hit the SUV. First responders showed up to discover the pedestrian not responsive on the road. Police reported that the victim was declared deceased at the location, according to their statement. Both drivers stayed at the location and assisted investigators. Authorities shut down Broadway Road in both directions between 32nd Street and 30th Street while officers carried out a scene investigation. The reason for the crash is still being investigated.
