Pacoima, CA (February 21, 2026) – One fatality and two injuries resulted from a vehicle striking a pole on Friday night at the San Fernando Rd and Paxton St intersection. The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. Officials reported that the vehicle hit a pole at the corner, resulting in extensive damage. A 30-year-old male was freed from the vehicle and declared dead on site. A 27-year-old man was also extricated from the wreckage and taken to a nearby trauma center in critical condition. A 39-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in the crash. Emergency services arrived promptly and worked to free the people trapped in the vehicle. Officials have not disclosed details regarding the events leading to the collision. Crews working at the scene caused disruptions to the roadway. Authorities are still reviewing the incident.
