(Long Beach, CA) A woman was hit and fatally injured Saturday night, December 27, in a crash on Cedar Avenue near West Pacific Coast Highway. Officers arrived on scene around 8:45 p.m. They discovered that a 2013 Ford Fusion heading east on PCH had struck a woman walking south in the marked crosswalk. Emergency medical personnel took her to a hospital, where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries. The driver stayed at the scene and worked with the investigators. No further information about the victim has been disclosed. Analysis of the Cedar Avenue Collision.
