A motorcyclist tragically lost their life on Tuesday, October 28th, in a multiple vehicle crash on the Southbound 101 Freeway. The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m., leaving the rider pinned under a vehicle, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. cerca de la avenida Melrose. Initial reports suggest that a motorcycle and a white Honda Pilot were part of the accident. Due to the first crash, two more vehicles became involved shortly afterwards. Upon arrival, firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department discovered the victim pinned underneath a red Toyota Corolla, which was also stuck in the wreckage. Using hydraulic equipment and an airbag system, they managed to rescue the individual who was trapped. Despite attempts to save him, the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene, as reported by the CHP. The accident caused the closure of three southbound lanes for several hours.
