A 26-year-old man tragically lost his life on Sunday morning, October 26, in a multiple vehicle collision on State Route 125 in Lemon Grove, as reported by the authorities. Officer Jasmine Lopez from the California Highway Patrol indicated that the accident happened around 4:31:38 a.m. on the northbound lane of State Route 125 close to Spring Street. A 2023 Nissan Sentra allegedly swerved out of its lane and hit a parked 2007 Mercedes-Benz E350 on the shoulder. Shortly after, a 2022 Ford Edge crashed into the Nissan. The Nissan’s driver ran away from the location, abandoning an injured passenger who was severely hurt. Paramedics arrived but declared the 26-year-old man from San Diego dead at the location. The individual’s identity remains undisclosed until his family has been informed. The other motorists and two passengers within the Mercedes experienced minor injuries. The CHP stated that the cause of the accident is still being investigated, and it is currently unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role. Summary of the State Route 125 accident.
