A traffic collision was reported at about 5 p.m. Aug. 22 on northbound U.S. 101 near San Ysidro Road in California, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information. The incident was handled by the CHP’s Santa Barbara area.
The dispatch classified the crash as a collision with unknown injuries. No additional information about injuries or the vehicles involved was provided in the initial report.
A CHP update one minute later noted that one slow lane was affected. The lane information indicated a traffic impact on northbound U.S. 101 near the San Ysidro Road interchange.
The available dispatch record did not provide further updates about the vehicles, emergency medical response, towing activity or the eventual roadway status. No cause of the collision was listed.
