Riverside, CA (May 25, 2026) – One person was killed and three others injured early Sunday morning after a driver allegedly struck multiple pedestrians with a vehicle in Riverside. The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on Franklin Avenue between 35th and 36th Streets. According to police, a large fight had broken out shortly before the vehicle struck several people. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people with critical injuries were transported by ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital, while a fourth individual was also taken to a hospital for treatment. The deceased’s name is being withheld until their family has been notified. Police subsequently identified and detained a suspect, recovering the vehicle thought to have been used in the incident. Investigators are still examining the circumstances that caused the crash.
