A pedestrian died in a traffic accident on Monday, November 10th, in Oceanside, CA. The incident took place at around 6:45 p.m. near Mission San Luis Rey along Mission Avenue, as reported by the Oceanside Police Department. on Mission Avenue close to Francesca Drive. An eastbound Chevrolet Tahoe hit the victim, according to investigators. Officers and paramedics arrived within minutes, but they declared the pedestrian dead shortly afterward. Authorities reported that the driver of the Tahoe stayed at the scene and assisted the investigators. The department stated that intoxication does not seem to have played a role in the fatal accident. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed yet, as authorities are waiting to inform the next of kin.
