Oceanside, CA (January 29, 2026) – Emergency dispatch records indicate that a 65-year-old woman suffered injuries Tuesday afternoon when a car hit her parked vehicle in an Oceanside residential area. The crash took place on January 28 around 12:33 p.m. along Teal Way. The caregiver had just parked her car when another vehicle struck it from behind at low speed. Although the vehicle’s exterior damage seemed minor, responders observed a fractured rear axle from the collision. The woman suffered a superficial cut on her right forehead and reported pain in her head and neck after the crash. She stayed conscious and alert at the scene and reported no loss of consciousness. Emergency medical personnel evaluated her condition and readied her for transport. Her vital signs indicated mildly elevated blood pressure of 170/90 and a heart rate of 110 bpm with sinus tachycardia. She was not taking blood thinners and reported no underlying medical conditions other than hypertension. EMS applied a cervical collar to her as a precaution and took her by BLS Unit 126 to a nearby hospital for additional assessment. A second person from the crash refused medical care and was released after signing an AMA (Against Medical Advice) form. We hope the injured woman has a speedy recovery and praise the prompt action of the local EMS crew.
