Oakland, CA (December 30, 2025) – A vehicle struck and injured a 26-year-old female bicyclist Sunday evening near E 31st St in Oakland. The event took place at approximately 5:37 p.m. , according to emergency dispatch audio from Alameda County responders. Authorities reported that the bicyclist, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was conscious and alert upon paramedics’ arrival. She complained of low back pain and widespread body aches after the accident. No loss of consciousness was observed at the scene. Paramedics transported her to Highland Hospital under code two trauma conditions for further evaluation and treatment. Her vital signs remained stable, with a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 15, signifying full consciousness. Details about the vehicle involved or the circumstances preceding the crash have not been disclosed. The investigation continues to identify the cause.
