Oakland, CA (December 30, 2025) – Two people were injured in a two-car crash on southbound Highway 13 in Oakland Sunday afternoon. The incident happened just after 2:00 p.m. Just beyond Redwood Rd, per emergency dispatch audio from Alameda County EMS. One victim was identified as a woman in her twenties. Paramedics reached the scene and started providing treatment while coordinating with Oakland Fire Department and California Highway Patrol personnel. Because of the victims’ conditions, a second ambulance was called for extra assistance. Emergency teams briefly closed the freeway to secure the area and allow safe entry for medical personnel. The exact details of the injuries remain undisclosed, though both patients received on-site treatment and were readied for transport. CHP is investigating the incident to identify the cause of the crash. We extend our wishes for a complete and speedy recovery to everyone impacted by this collision.
