Oakland, CA (December 30, 2025) – A 20-year-old male sustained severe injuries in a high-speed crash near E 31st St in Oakland on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. According to emergency dispatch audio from Alameda County medical services, the victim was identified as a restrained passenger in a vehicle that suffered major intrusion and airbag deployment in the crash. Paramedics noted that the man was conscious but experienced intermittent loss of consciousness and numbness in his left leg. He also reported pain in his leg and chest, although no visible injuries were immediately apparent. Emergency medical personnel transported the patient to Highland Hospital under code two trauma conditions for further care and evaluation. The exact circumstances of the crash, including the number of vehicles involved and what led to the collision, remain under investigation by authorities.
