On October 9, 2025, in Oakland, CA, a collision involving two vehicles led to at least one reported injury on Wednesday evening close to the intersection of Piedmont Ave and John St. The incident took place at approximately 5:30 p.m. According to police dispatch audio, the incident involved a gray Toyota Prius and a white Mitsubishi SUV. Emergency personnel arrived at the location to help those involved. A passenger in one of the cars was said to be suffering from head pain and needed medical assistance. Details regarding the condition of the injured person have not been disclosed. Officials are in the process of evaluating the accident scene and managing traffic in the vicinity as they carry out their investigation.
