A traffic collision was reported on northbound U.S. 101 just south of Liberty Canyon Road at about 3:23 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026. The California Highway Patrol listed the injuries as unknown at the time of the report.
The incident occurred on northbound 101 near the Liberty Canyon Road area in California. CHP dispatch information identified the location as the northbound freeway just south of the roadway.
By 3:35 p.m., CHP reported that traffic was being held in lanes 4 and 5. The update indicated a significant restriction on the northbound side of the freeway near the collision scene.
The dispatch information did not provide additional details about the vehicles involved, the circumstances of the collision or whether anyone was transported for medical treatment. No later status update was included in the available CHP information.
