A hit-and-run collision with no reported injuries was reported at 3:57 p.m. Aug. 15 on northbound U.S. 101 near Tennant in California. The incident was handled by the California Highway Patrol’s Hollister-Gilroy area.
The location was described as northbound U.S. 101 just south of Tennant. CHP classified the incident as a hit-and-run, but the dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or describe how the collision occurred.
No injuries were reported in the initial incident classification. The available information also did not indicate that an ambulance, fire crew or tow truck was requested.
A CHP update at 5:18 p.m. noted follow-up contact with the Gilroy Police Department. The dispatch record provided no further publicly usable details about the vehicle involved, the person who left the scene or any roadway closures.
