A traffic collision was reported at about 3:24 p.m. Aug. 28 on northbound State Route 73 near Bear Street in California. The California Highway Patrol listed the injury status as unknown when the incident was reported.
The collision occurred just north of Bear Street, according to the CHP location description. The initial dispatch information did not identify the number or types of vehicles involved.
By 3:26 p.m., the CHP reported that the high-occupancy vehicle lane was blocked. The dispatch did not indicate that other lanes were closed.
No additional information about injuries, emergency medical response, vehicle damage or towing was included in the available CHP updates. The documented updates remained focused on the collision location and the blocked HOV lane.
