A traffic collision was reported at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, on northbound Interstate 680 near the Interstate 580 interchange in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash location was described as northbound I-680 just south of the I-580 interchange, near Exit 21B. The dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved.
At 4:33 p.m., CHP reported that northbound I-680 was closed near Exit 21B. The update indicated that the collision was affecting the freeway at that location.
The incident was handled within the CHP Dublin Freeway Service Patrol area. No additional information about the circumstances of the collision or the expected duration of the closure was included in the dispatch.
